Bible Study

Bible Study is very important for Christian people, because it is through God's Word (along with His sacraments) that God delivers His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation to His people.  We have several options for our members to participate in Bible Study.
Sunday Morning Bible Study

Meets Sunday mornings at 10:30 A.M. (September-May)

Our Sunday morning Bible Study meets after the Sunday morning church service and fellowship time in the church sanctuary.  Anyone is welcome to come!  Pastor typically has a lesson planned for the day, but questions are welcomed and encouraged.  Sometimes we get entirely sidetracked by the issues and concerns that people bring to the study that week, but still we remain grounded in God's Word as we address life in this world.

Two on Tuesdays

Meets on the first and third Tuesdays each month at 2 P.M.

Our newest Bible Study at Alive! is Two on Tuesdays.  We meet on the first and third Tuesday each month in the Fellowship Hall at 2 P.M.  In each of these Bible Studies, we start by studying a particular Bible text, which sets the stage to open our conversation to an entire topic, where we can raise and discuss any questions we might have.  Anyone can suggest a topic they'd like to explore (just tell Pastor).  We also have a great opportunity for fellowship with one another.

Telling God's Story

Telling God's Story is our online Bible Study provided for anyone who is short on time but still wanting to spend time in God's Word and the Biblical narrative.  Each session of six to eight minutes provides an opportunity to read a Biblical text and then see how that text fits into the narrative of God's interaction with His creation and humanity, a story ranging from creation and fall into redemption and recreation through Christ.
