Alive! Lutheran Church

AliveWelcome to Alive! Lutheran Church in Monticello

where lives are transformed, friendships are created and strengthened, tears are shed, laughter is heard, songs are sung, Christ is proclaimed and God is glorified!

A warm & hearty welcome to our members and our guests! It is a privilege and honor to worship our Crucified, Risen, Ascended & Glorified Lord with you. Alive! is the BIGGEST, little church in Monticello, and we are glad to have you here.  As always, make yourself at home, you are among family!

Downtown Trick or Treat - Thursday Oct. 30th 4-7pm
Alive! will be participating in the downtown trick or treat event again this year. Last year, over 1,400 children and their parents visited the downtown businesses and came through our little church! This year, the Partners for Downtown Association is expecting 1500 children. This is a great opportunity for us to showcase our church again!

As noted earlier, the Confirmation class has been asked to assist with this event. Several adults will also be in attendance as we plan to provide appetizers, some snacks and maybe a simple hot dish for the volunteers. Adults who want to help chaperone and/or bring a food item, please contact Connie Wischnack (kev93con@tds.net)or Chantelle Kiphuth (ckiphuth@aol.com). The confirmation students and other volunteers will also help with some of the on-hands activities, especially set-up, decorating and guiding our visitors in and out of the church the day of the event (we plan a one-way flow between the Broadway doorways like weve done in past years.) And yes, volunteers are encouraged to wear costumes during the event. However, we are a church, so please nothing inappropriate, goulish, scary, witchy, devilish, etc.!
